The new schedule looks good. What could be better is the picture of St. Clare in the bulletin. It was painted by Simone Martini. He was born after she died. So too was the painter Giotto. Yet, Giotto has a painting of her (at Assisi too) dressed as a nun, which is so much better. In the Google box, put "images St. Clare" and you will see her as a nun, which she loved. She rejected the laity life. So, it seems better not to present her as a lay person, as seen in the bulletin. I and others I talked to would prefer to see her as a nun. We think she would prefer that too. Something to think about.
Is the picture in the bulletin a depiction of Clara as a Saint ?
Fr Marco, Thanks for the new picture of St Clare in the bulletin. It is a beautiful picture recalling her miracle of the Blessed Sacrament in protecting her convent. Also, thanks for putting in the buttetin the names of our parish deacons and their wives in recognition of their help. In granting these requests, you show kindness in the use of your authority as pastor. This recalls for us that God in His authority also rules us with kindness.
I like the new schedule Father. I understand why the schedule had to change, and appreciate the hard work you, Father Calin, all of the visiting priests, Deacons and lay staff do for us. The new schedule is easy to remember.
